Welcome to Bob & Sheila's Europe Expedition 2000!
The
trip this spring was to Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Lichtenstein. Who
could miss Lichtenstein?
The trip went like this: Innsbruck, Austria, to the walled city of Dinkelsbuhl, Germany, then to Rothenberg (also walled), over to the Rhine valley, down to the Schwartzwald (Black Forest) in Alpirsbach, and then to Grindelwald, Switzerland, home of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. After Switzerland we spent the last four nights at the incomparable Schloss Matzen, a castle about 30 miles or so east of Innsbruck.
I've broken the photos out into these categories. Just click on a photo to get started--the navigation is pretty simple and very quick.
I also shot a few MPGs of Schloss Matzen too, if you have a fast connection to the Internet (or patience) you might enjoy these:
Maps and other information coming soon.
As you can tell from the photos, we were smitten by Schloss Matzen. I highly recommend it--and contact information for the castle is at www.schlossmatzen.com. We're looking forward to going back again soon.
Please report broken links to me!
